Admissions Process

Please complete our inquiry form so we may get to know you. After your tour, we invite you to log in and begin our online application process. There is a $50.00 application fee. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

To complete our application process, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that all required information has been submitted to the Admissions Office via the online application. The list below provides details on the information that will be required to apply. 

Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed by the Admissions Office and the next step is to schedule a shadow, screening, and interviews.

  • Interview

    For applicants applying to the Lower School, a parent interview is conducted with the Lower School Director and/or the Headmaster. The school's philosophy and mutual expectations are reviewed with each family.

    For applicants applying to the Middle or Upper School, a student/parent interview is conducted with the respective Division Director. The school's philosophy and mutual expectations are reviewed with each student and family.
  • Screening

    Academic and readiness screening of applicants for the following school year will take place preferably during the winter, or on an as-needed basis at a time that is convenient for students, parents, and Brookwood School.
  • Shadow

    As a part of the admissions process, applicants interested in our Lower School, Junior Kindergarten through fifth grade, will shadow for part of a school day. For students interested in grades six through twelve, a shadow day is strongly encouraged, but not required.
  • Recommendations

    Each applicant to Brookwood School is asked to supply recommendations from two teachers (one for JK/K) as well as from a principal or guidance counselor who are well qualified to evaluate them. Recommendation forms are sent electronically from the application portal.
  • Questionnaire

    A questionnaire for students in 6th - 12th grades and is part of the application. The questionnaire should be completed by the student.
  • Transcripts

    Transcripts and/or report cards are required of all applicants for grades 1-12. It is the parents’ responsibility to see that a transcript of the student’s academic record and testing record are submitted to the Admissions Office by the student’s present school. Any psychological evaluations should be included.
  • Health Information

    Brookwood School is required by Georgia law to have on file Georgia Health form 3231 (immunization records).
