Brookwood third-graders bring historical figures to life
5/22/2018
Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff- Report
Last week, Brookwood School third graders had the chance of a lifetime to live as famous person for part of the day.
Many people of historical importance filled the Beverly Athletic Center in a similar fashion to that of a wax museum.
Students selected a famous person of interest and presented that person’s biography.
Students also wrote a report and memorized a speech to share.
Parents, grandparents and special guests toured the museum Friday morning, listening to each student’s speech on their famous person.
Persons of interest were quite varied, from Dolly Parton and Elvis to Queen Victoria and Neil Armstrong.
Back
Ernest Shackleton, portrayed by Walker, was a polar explorer who led expeditions to the Antarctic.
Daisy represented notable author Beatrix Potter and was accompanied by Peter Rabbit.
