The Brookwood Warriors boys soccer team has been on a tear this season. Coming off back-to-back-to-back shut out victories over Georgia Christian and Deerfield Windsor, the Warriors look unstoppable. Off to their best start in a long time, Brookwood has not lost since their opening game against Atkinson County, a 4-3 defeat. Since then, the Warriors have compiled an overall record of 6-1, featuring wins over Frederica Academy and a very good Thomasville squad, who are currently 9-4 and second in a good public-school region. Brookwood also seems to be in firm control of their region, despite being one game into their region schedule. The best team in their region is 3-3 Valwood. Brookwood has shown off a remarkable balance of impressive scoring and defense. They are coming off a trio of shut out wins and have four on the season. They outscored their opponents 22-0 in their last three games and 37-7 overall. Their leader on the pitch, junior Harrison Chapura, has been remarkable this season. He leads the Warriors with 1.7 goals per game, one assist per game, and 26 points on the season. Chapura and sophomore Kenji Sun lead the Warriors with ten goals apiece on the year. This success comes as Brookwood enters the meat of their schedule with three region games against DeerfieldWindsor, who the Warriors beat in their last game 4-0, and Valwood. Beginning April 11, Brookwood will welcome Valwood followed by their last home game on April 22 against Deerfield Windsor.
