Brookwood boys hoops tops FAMU DRS, Warrior boys golf receives state title rings

If you look at boys golf across south Georgia over the past four years, there’s one team that stands out, and that’s the Brookwood boys.

The Warriors won the program’s third state title in the past four seasons this past spring, capping off an undefeated season. Friday night, the guys received their reward, shiny new rings.

For Brookwood, it’s nice to show off their prize, one they helped design, as it’s the result of a lot of hard work.

“We all had kind of the same idea. I think we liked the first one the most. I think we liked the second one too,” laughed senior JD Culbreth, who won the title of low medalist at the state championships. “They’re all great. Getting each other better I think is the reason why we’ve won three now and why we won last year. I think just having each other and pushing each other is the main reason we won the ring.”

The Brookwood boys basketball team continued the good vibes, topped FAMU DRS 63-36 to improve to 9-1 on the year.
