Warriors win seventh over Valwood

THOMASVILLE – Brookwood boys soccer got their seventh win of the season, and their seventh in a row with a 5-1 victory over Valwood. The first half was close, but entering halftime, the Warriors and Valiants were tied at one. The Warriors stormed out of the locker room, racking up four unanswered goals en route to a 5-1 region victory over Valwood. Senior Carter Bryan had two goals in the game, and junior Harrison Chapura netted a hat-trick with three goals in the game. Chapura has had a career season this year. In his junior season, Chapura has racked up 32 points on 13 goals and six assists. He is averaging almost two goals per game and nearly an assist per game. He has scored in every game this season and has three hat-tricks. Chapura has two three goal games against Valwood and Georgia Christian and netted four against Thomasville.

Brookwood is 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in region play. Brookwood will play their final home game against Deerfield-Windsor, who they beat 4-0 in their last meeting, on April 22 and will face Valwood in their final region contest on April 29. May 2 will mark the end of the Warriors regular season with a trip to St. Simons Island, Georgia to face Frederica Academy.
