Brookwood tennis dominates region tourney

THOMASVILLE — Brookwood’s tennis teams are rolling on to state, with the Warriors sweeping just about every category at the GISA Region 3-3A tournament on Monday.
The boys team continued its undefeated run, taking every top spot in singles, with the only individual losses coming to Brookwood teammates. Landon Carter came away with the boys singles championship, while Andrew Cooper and Dallas Forsyth took second and third.
In doubles, Thomas Harrison and Bradley Merschman took home the boys doubles championship, while the team of Nic Kadel and Alden Harrison placed second.
On the girls side, Jenna Merschman earned the singles championship, defeating Brookwood teammate Cricket Daniel. Both will qualify for the state tournament.
