The Brookwood School annual fourth-eighth grade spelling bee was held in Hines-Watt on Friday, December 7. Two students from each grade level were selected for the bee after classroom eliminations were held. After many rounds going back and forth between the two finalists, sixth grader Emma Rhodes earned the winning spot. Pearson Taylor, also in sixth grade, was the runner-up. Rhodes, the school champion, and runner- up Taylor will next compete at the GISA Spelling Bee held in early 2019.
