Brookwood School Names Daryl Jones as Head Football Coach
Brookwood School is proud to announce that Daryl Jones has been named the new Head Coach of the Warrior Football Program. Coach Jones, who currently oversees Sports Performance at Brookwood and has served as an assistant coach, brings decades of experience, and a proven track record of excellence to his new role.
“Coach Jones is the perfect leader to take our football program to the next level,” said Jenny Lauderdale,
Brookwood’s Athletic Director. “His depth of experience, his unwavering commitment to student-athletes, and his passion for developing both the physical and character aspects of the game make him an incredible asset to our community.”
Coach Jones’ impressive career spans both high school and collegiate athletics. Locally, he has served on the coaching staff s of Thomasville High School, Thomas County High School, and Cairo High School. At the high school level, he has also held roles as an assistant coach, head coach, and athletic director. Before joining Brookwood last year, he coached at Thomasville High School, earning respect for his dedication and leadership.
At the collegiate level, Coach Jones has contributed to football programs at Hofstra University, Duke University, and the University of Maryland. Most notably, he served as the Director of On-Campus Recruiting at the University of Georgia, showcasing his ability to mentor and inspire athletes at the highest levels.
“Coach Jones brings an incredible combination of experience and energy to this role,” said Dr. Randy Watts, Brookwood’s Headmaster. “His vision for the program reflects our mission at Brookwood. We are confident that his leadership will inspire our students and elevate our football program.”

tremendous community. I look forward to building on the program’s strong foundation, working with our
student-athletes to help them grow as individuals and as a team.”
Coach Jones assumes his new responsibilities immediately and is eager to begin preparing for the next chapter of Warrior Football.
