Soccer Game Preview: Thomasville vs. Brookwood
The Thomasville Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Brookwood Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Thomasville had just enough and edged Valdosta out 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Thomasville as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Brookwood brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand Echols County a 4-0 shutout on Monday. That looming 4-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Brookwood yet this season.
They hit Echols County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Harrison Chapura (2), Oskar Thompson, and Andrew Strickland.Thomasville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Brookwood, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Thomasville was able to grind out a solid win over Brookwood in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, winning 3-1. Does Thomasville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brookwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
