Archbold Auxiliary Scholarships Have Positive Impact on Local Student
Archbold
Each year, the Archbold Auxiliary awards several scholarships to local students to help with their continuing education in healthcare or medical-related field of study.
Mary-Catherine Bryant is a six-year recipient of the Auxiliary scholarships and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She recently graduated from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health with a Master's degree in public health in applied epidemiology. The Auxiliary scholarships have supported her every year during her undergraduate and graduate education.
Mary-Catherine recently spoke at an Auxiliary board meeting to explain the importance of the scholarships and how it has positively impacted her education journey.
“I would not be where I am today without the financial support from the Archbold Auxiliary,” said Bryant. “The support allowed me to pursue additional extracurricular research jobs throughout my schooling, which I have turned into a post-graduate career.”
The Auxiliary scholarships are funded through Archbold Gift Shop sales and donations made in memory of or honor Auxiliary members.
“It’s an honor to be able to support area students and their college dreams through these scholarships,” said Michelle Collins, director of volunteer services at Archbold.
